What is God like?

God’s Love

God loves this world passionately and tenderly, and through His Son, Jesus Christ, every person can receive God’s love and live in it.

Restoration

All humankind has sinned against God, creating a barrier that separates us from Him. But the good news is that God loves us so much that He made it possible to restore our relationship with Him at great cost to Himself.

Jesus’ Sacrifice

Jesus Christ, God’s Son, came into the world and lived a perfect, sinless life. His death on the cross was a perfect sacrifice for humanity’s sin. The Bible says, "God is love", but He is also perfectly just. Sin had to be paid for, and Jesus paid that price. Because of His sacrifice, the barrier of sin is gone, and we can approach God with freedom and confidence (Ephesians 3:12).

The Resurrection

Jesus’ death wasn’t the end. God raised Him from the dead, and everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life. This life isn’t just endless; it’s a new quality of life flowing from a personal relationship with God.

God’s Book

The Bible is God’s book, showing us what He is like, how we can know Him, and how He wants us to live. It contains everything we need to live a life that honours Him and in appylying it to our lives make the world a better place. The bible shows us:

  • What God is like
  • How we can know Him
  • How He wants us to live

How can I know God?

Accept and Repent

Recognise that you are a sinner and turn away from your sins. Repentance opens the door to God’s forgiveness and a transformed life.

Acts 2:38: Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Believe

Place your faith in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, who gave his life to save you. Through him, you can receive eternal life.

John 3:16-17: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Confess

Confess your faith in Jesus openly, trusting in your heart that God raised him from the dead. Your confession brings salvation.

Romans 10:9-10: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
